The Bluffs Bulletin Board Seniors like the red tees On June 30, the seniors played best ball from the forward tees, again. The lowest score submitted by a team of four in competition against teams of three was a 31 turned in by Max Anderson, Ray Lynn, Bob Solomon and Dick Gregory. A respectable 33 for second place went to the team of Turk Pilker, Jack Doyle and Dave Zimmer. The next four scores were all 34s. According to the handicap holes, the best of these ties went to the team of Dick Kellogg, Ken Beringer and Mo Marcotte. The second best 34 went to Cleland Cook, Gene Iverson and Rex Huska. Taking the last prize winning 34 due to a better score on hole #4 was the four-man team of Ross King, Louie Fostvedt, Dennis Iverson and Fritz Bartels. In the long birdie category, Jack Doyle sank a 30 footer on #9, Ray Lynn dropped a 28 footer on #4, while Cleland Cook watched a 15 footer disappear in the cup on #1. WELL ladies have fun night It was fun night tonight for WELL.  Teams of three ladies were organized then they decided on the three clubs, and only three, they could take with them.  Then the scramble began.  With much laughter and some heckling, mostly by Peggy Donnelly, nine holes were played. First place was the team of Mylynn Hanson, Mary Vlasman and Susan Oberly of 35.  Second place was Kathie Merrigan-Manning, Nikki Stammer and Katie Hodges with a score of 38 and third place was Jonie Hook, Mary Mock and Lynette Wulff with a score of 40.  The most amazing shot of the night was a  hole-in-one by Pat Flannigan with a seven iron on #8. Which was her first shot of the night.  Congratulations Beer Patty! We had a wonderful picnic supper of grilled burgers, fruit and potato salad with some delicious deserts provided by Ann Jensen and Darlis LaBahn.  Regular league will return next week. Wednesday morning ladies enjoy great day July 1, 2009 Report   There were 24 ladies for luncheon and the desserts were provided by Elle Davis and June Wagner. As usual they were great!!  The $5 drawing was won by Vaneta Youngworth and the quarters: Ann Stewart, June Wagner, Marlys Jensen, Agnes Moeckler, Rula Hatch, Jan Chapman and Vaneta Youngworth.  GOLF report: There were 10 golfers and beautiful weather for golfing.  We played "Bingo, Bango, Bongo and no Rough Stuff" Darlene Engbrecht was the winner with total points of 11. We had a tie for second — Mary Lea Hennies and Edith Nelson with 10 and third was Fritz Lefler with 9.  Great going girls!!  Bridge report: High — Ramona Kellogg, 2nd High — Marlys Jensen  Dominoes: We played high /.low / high / low 1st round- High:  Anita White, Ann Stewart, Agnes Manning 2nd round- Low:  Babe Hurowitz, Anita White, Mary Lea Hennies 3rd round- High:  Rula Hatch, Brenda, Darlene E.
