Exchange vows Melissa Lynn Chicoine and Jonathan James Baatz exchanged wedding vows May 22, 2009 at Sandals Dunn's River Villagio and Spa Resort, Ochos Rios, Jamaica. They were married outdoors on the beach, in a small ceremony with no guests. Music for the ceremony was provided by the bride and groom. Parents of the couple are Mary Chicoine, Vermillion; and Barb Zirpel, Sioux Falls. The bride is a 1995 graduate of Vermillion High School and received an associates degree in nursing from The University of South Dakota, Vermillion, in 2004. She is employed as a registered nurse in the Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU at MUSC Children's Hospital in downtown Charleston, SC. She currently is registered in online courses at SDSU, with plans to complete her bachelor's degree in nursing in May 2010. The groom is a 1995 graduate of Hills Beaver Creek High School, Hills Beaver Creek, MN. He graduated from SouthEast Tech, Sioux Falls, in 1997, with a sales and marketing degree. He is employed in sales and merchandising for the Coca-Cola Bottling Company, and is currently taking classes at ECPI College of Technology for IT networking and securities administration. He will graduate in May 2010. A reception for the bride and groom was held at Sandals Dunn's River Villagio after the ceremony. After the ceremony and reception, the honeymoon started. A large reception for family and friends will be held when the bride and groom come home to visit in the near future. They are now home at Ladson, SC.
