To wed

To wed Jack and Pat Larsen, of Council Bluffs, IA, would like to announce the engagement of their daughter, Mikala Larsen to Tyler Zimmerman, both of Vermillion. Tyler is the son of Dennis and Mary Kay Zimmerman, of Vermillion. Mikala is a 2002 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School, Council Bluffs, and a graduate of The University of South Dakota with a Bachelor of Science in elementary education and special education, and a Master of Arts Degree in education as a reading specialist. She is currently employed as a fourth-grade teacher and a high  school track and field coach in Beresford. Tyler is a 2003 graduate of Vermillion High School, Vermillion, and a graduate of Lake Area Technical Institute, Watertown, with an A.A.S. Degree in diesel technology. He is currently employed as a diesel mechanic at Great Plains International in Sioux City, IA. The couple will be wed on Oct. 24, 2009.
