Blood drive set for Sept. 20

Trinity Lutheran Church (816 East Clark St.) in Vermillion will host a blood drive on Sunday, Sept. 20 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This blood drive will benefit the blood supply for Sanford Vermillion Hospital.

The only way Community Blood Bank can insure an adequate local blood supply is through volunteer donors donating blood. When a person donates blood they make a difference in up to three peoples lives. There continues to be a consistent need for blood for traumas, surgeries, accidents and to help treat cancer. It only takes 20 to 25 minutes to make difference. Please consider donating blood at this blood drive and make the difference.

Donors must be at least 17 years old (16 years old with a signed parent consent form found at cbblifeblood.org), weigh 110 pounds or more and be in good general health the day of donation. Please bring an I.D. with you. It is recommended that a person eat and drink plenty of fluids prior to donating blood. For additional information call 624-4420. Walk-ins are welcome.
