Sanford Vermillion Medical Center and Wal-Mart Vermillion will host blood drives on Monday, Sept. 28. Wal-Mart will host their blood drive from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sanford Vermillion Medical Center (20 S. Plum St.) will host their blood drive from 2:30 to 6 p.m. Both blood drives will benefit the Sanford Vermillion Medical Center's blood supply.
"Currently, Community Blood Bank is in high need status for blood donations," said Ken Versteeg, executive director, Community Blood Bank. It only takes 20 to 25 minutes to make a difference. Please consider donating blood at this blood drive and make the difference on Sept. 28.
Donors must be at least 17 years old (16 years old with a signed parent consent form found at cbblifeblood.org), weigh 110 pounds or more and be in good general health the day of the donation. Please bring an I.D. with you. It is recommended that a person eat and drink plenty of fluids prior to donating blood. For additional information call 624-2611 ext. 341. Walk-ins are welcome.
