Evans, GA – Mrs. Elaine Janet Lyso, 77, Evans, GA, wife of the late Orville Maurice "Maury" Lyso, entered into rest on Monday Sept. 7, 2009 at her residence.
A memorial service was held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 10, at Platt's Funeral Home, Evans, GA, with the Rev. Chris Laskey officiating.
Mrs. Lyso was a native of Vermillion. She married the late Orville Maurice "Maury" Lyso on Sept. 9, 1951. She also resided in Richland, WA for 34 years. Mrs. Lyso was a lifelong Lutheran and was a loving mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her two daughters, Lori Metz of Appling, GA, and Jeralynn Lyso of League City, TX; one son, Kurt Lyso, Las Vegas, NV; one brother, Gerald Wigdahl; two grandchildren, Aaron Weissenfels and Daniel Metz.
The family received friends following the memorial service until 5:30 p.m. Mrs. Lyso will be interred in St. Peters Greenfield Cemetery near Vermillion alongside her husband.
