Exchange vows

Ashley Renee Thompson and Jerad Peter Hesla exchanged marriage vows June 13, 2009, at the United Church of Christ – Congregational in Vermillion. The Rev. Steve Miller officiated.

Ashley is the daughter of Craig and Marsha Thompson of Vermillion. Jerad is the son of Ron and Deb Hesla of Wakonda.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. Jen Looby, Rapid City, was matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were Alicia Hesla, Vermillion, and Casey Thompson, Dallas, TX. Clara Klasi-Anderson, Edina, MN, was flower girl, and Rachel Looby, Rapid City, was ring bearer.

Music for the ceremony was provided by Steven Hesla, Missoula, MT.
Eric Hesla, Vermillion, was best man. Mikael Nelson, Kansas City, MO, and Jordan Thompson, Dallas, TX, were groomsmen. Ushers were David Branch and Kyle Grove.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Buffalo Run Winery in Vermillion, with entertainment by Energy Productions. 
After a honeymoon in Las Vegas, NV, the couple are at home in Overland Park, KS.

Ashley is a 2002 graduate of Vermillion High School, and received a bachelor of science degree in education from the University of South Dakota. She is currently completing her  educational specialist degree in school psychology from the University of South Dakota. She is a school psychology intern at Miller Park Center, a behavioral learning program in Lee's Summit School District in Lee's Summit, MO. Her internship is one year long, and she will graduate with her specialist degree in May 2010.

Jerad is a 2003 graduate of Vermillion High School. He obtained his bachelor of science degree in computer engineering from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. He is employed as an embedded systems engineer at Garmin, Intl. in Olathe, KS.
