Monday, Sept. 15 saw the Elk Point/Jefferson Boys' golf team arrive at the "Bluffs" in Vermillion for a golf match. The Tanagers flexed their collective muscles and soundly defeated the Huskies. The local lads rolled in a team total of 154 to a 186 total for the Elk Point/Jefferson team. Low scoring honors went to the hot shooting Cole Andre at 37. It looks like the scores are getting lower for our local boys. As these young men hit the "Bluffs" on Tuesday the 22nd, they will have their sights set on a "Big 8" conference title. Here comes tourney time folks. Let's all keep our fingers crossed and hope these fine young men can continue playing great golf and bring home some titles.
"I will see you from the rough where I will be looking for my ball" … until next week … thanks MOJO.
