Heartland Humane Society announces ribbon cutting & holiday open house

Heartland Humane Society invites the community to a holiday open house and ribbon cutting. The Yankton Chamber of Commerce will be on hand on Friday, Dec.11 at 10 a.m. for the ribbon cutting. The holiday open house will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Come in and meet the cats available for adoption, have some great holiday refreshments and see all the exciting things going on at the shelter!

"This is such an exciting time for us because until this point, we really didn't have a facility where we could house the animals and do adoptions," said Tasha Anderson, executive director at Heartland Humane Society. "Terry and Vickie Eaves of More Than Pets donating this space for us to use has been the huge step forward that we needed. We invite everyone to visit our new shelter and get to know us!"

The ribbon cutting and holiday open house will be held at the shelter office at 601 1/2 Burleigh Street. Contact Tasha Anderson at 605-664-4244 or email hhs@midconetwork.com for more information.
