Wayne State signs Kristen Schwasinger

Wayne State College head women's golf coach Troy Harder has announced that Kristen Schwasinger of Vermillion has signed a national letter of intent to attend Wayne State College and play golf for the Wildcats in the 2010-11 school year.

Schwasinger is a four-year starter and five year letter winner at Vermillion High School, playing on three state tournament teams for the Tanagers as a freshman, sophomore and junior.  She was named the team captain and most valuable player in the 2009 season, helping Vermillion High School win the regional championship and a seventh place finish at the South Dakota Class A State Tournament.  Individually, she placed 19th at state as a junior last spring after shooting rounds of 88 and 98 for the Tanagers.

Wayne State College is an NCAA Division II school located in Wayne, NE and competes in the 14-team Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.
