Virginia Mockler, 77, of Vermillion, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009, at the Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls, after a short battle with cancer.
Virginia Mae Millage was born May 9, 1932, in Vermillion to Lee and Amy (Nelson) Millage. She was united in marriage to Arnold Mockler on Jan. 6, 1951 in Vermillion.
She is survived by her husband, Arnold of Vermillion; a daughter, Deborah (Scott) Hurowitz of Sioux Falls; two sons, Bruce (Cathy) Mockler of Vermillion, and Leo Mockler of Marbleton, WY; eight grandchildren, Andrea Wood, Laura Hadash, Justin and Jordyn Mockler, Thad, Brooke, Hailey and Joe Mockler; and great-grandchildren Autumn Barnett and Gracie Wood. She is also survived by three sisters, Ethel (Bob) Harrington, Juanita (Russ) Bailey and Doris (Doug) Myron; a brother, Leo (Joyce) Millage; a sister-in-law, Harriet Millage; a brother-in-law, Chuck Monson and many nieces and nephews.
