John Boyne's novel The Boy in the Striped Pajamas is the last featured selection for Historics and Flicks on Thursday, April 22, from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Community Room at the Vermillion Public Library.
Following the showing of the film, a brief discussion will be facilitated by Jim Lorenz, a World War II history buff from Aberdeen. This program is free and open to the public. Hot drinks and popcorn will be provided.
This novel is about the devastating consequences that result in an unlikely friendship formed during the holocaust between the son of a Nazi commandant and a Jewish concentration camp inmate.
