The Vermillion boys tennis team will have had an 11-day layoff by the time they resume their spring season next Tuesday in a dual at Brandon Valley at 4 p.m.
Coach Dan Hanson's Tanagers were scheduled to play a dual at Luverne, MN, Tuesday, but weather forced postponement of that match until next Thursday.
Hanson's third year as VHS coach began with a triangular at Yankton last Saturday. The Tanagers lost to the host Bucks, 9-0, and dropped a 6-3 dual to Sioux City North.
Vermillion claimed a pair of singles winners against North as David Day won at the No. 5 slot and James May captured the No. 6 singles match. The Tanagers' other team point came at No. 3 doubles where Michael Walker and Wes McBride teamed up for a victory.
