Heartland Humane Society received a grant for $1,000 from the Midcontinent Media Foundation for the Sioux Falls region. The organization applied for the grant in February and plans to use the funds to purchase stainless steel cages to house adoptable animals as they await new homes at the facility.
Mike Drummond of the Midcontinent Media Foundation delivered the grant check to Heartland Humane Society on Thursday, May 13. The foundation will deliver nearly $36,000 in grant money to organizations like Heartland Humane Society in the Sioux Falls region alone.
"This grant money is yet another step forward for our organization," said Tasha Anderson, executive director at Heartland Humane Society. "Thank you to the Midcontinent Foundation for believing in and assisting with our vision to help the animals of the communities that we serve."
