The Heartland Humane Society's annual Animal Fair is scheduled for Saturday, May 15, at Riverside Park in Yankton. The dog walk registration starts at 9:30 a.m. and the walk starts at 10 a.m.
There will be something for everyone:
• Great raffle packages.
• Animal blessing.
• Vendor booths.
• Great food.
• Ice cream (for people and dogs).
• K-9 police demonstration.
• Dogs R Us demonstration.
• Basic obedience demonstration.
• Pet contests (most unusual pet, best dressed pet,
best trick & owner-pet look-alike).
• Adoptable dogs on parade.
The raffle packages can be viewed online at www.heartlandhumanesociety.net or at the shelter at 601 1/2 Burleigh Street in Yankton. $1 per ticket, 6 for $5 and 12 for $10. Get your raffle tickets early right at the shelter!
