BERESFORD (AP) — Authorities have released the names of two drivers killed when their pickups collided head-on and burst into flames near Beresford.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol identified them as 35-year-old Aaron Hoesing of Beresford and 40-year-old Daniel Ruring of Vermillion.
The patrol says Hoesing was traveling north in the southbound passing lane of Interstate 29 about 10 p.m. Friday, April 30, and collided with Ruring's truck, which was heading south in the same lane. Both vehicles were destroyed in the crash and ensuing fire.
The patrol says both drivers were killed upon impact.
