The worldwide Junior Achievement office in Colorado Springs has honored 12 local community leaders who have been instrumental in making Junior Achievement of South Dakota successful. The Leadership Awards recognizes superior leadership and outstanding support for Junior Achievement.
The following volunteers received the Silver Leadership Award: Les Tuma, Brookings Equipment Inc. and Dr. Peter Wharton, superintendent for the Rapid City School District.
The following volunteers received the Bronze Leadership Award: Jodi Garcia of Spearfish PREMIER Bankcard, Jeral Gross, First National Bank South Dakota in Yankton, Jacquelyn Johnson of Dice Financial Services Group in Mitchell, Michael Kedik of SDN Communications in Sioux Falls, Becky Krause of First PREMIER Bank in Watertown, Bruce Mogen, Home Federal Bank in Dell Rapids, Tim Reuer of Midland National Life Insurance in Sioux Falls, Layne Stewart of Clay County Emergency Management in Vermillion, Guy Trenhaile of HealthCare Plus FCU in Aberdeen, and Jaci Worth of Wells Fargo Bank in Rapid City.
