The 26th HyVee Lake Kampeska Mini-Triathlon was held on July 10 in Watertown. Craig Thompson Law Office placed first in the team division with a time of 1:05:24. The team consisted of Lizz Hoffman, Craig Thompson and Nick Beare.
Vermillion had two individuals entered. Randy Rasmussen placed fourth in a time of 1:04:46 and Chris Brandt was 55th with a time of 1:27:58. Kipp Kinsley of Yankton won the race in 1:01:03.
There were 97 individuals and eight teams that competed in the race, which consisted of a 400-yard swim, a 14-mile bike ride and a 3.1-mile run.
