The Eagles Aerie and Eagles Auxiliary of Vermillion, in conjunction with the Eagles Grand Aerie and Dakota State Eagles, recently presented the local DARE program and the Clay County Child Protection Team with $1,000 each in grant funds resulting from their Child Advocacy Day efforts. Among many charitable events and activities done throughout the year, the Eagles Aerie and Eagles Auxiliary of Vermillion host a Child Advocacy Day in the fall, also known as the Eagles Child Health & Safety Carnival. The goal of the event is to educate and to promote health, safety, and wellness for area youth. The Eagles Aerie and Eagles Auxiliary were pleased to raise funds and to receive matching grant funds to benefit these local groups.
