Alex Anderson-Kahl, a 2008 graduate of Vermillion High School, is a member of the 2010 Luther College football team.
The Norse are coached by Mike Durnin who begins his third season at the helm of the football program. Coach Durnin enters the 2010 campaign with 34 returning letter winners that includes 14 on offense and 18 on defense. The Norse are looking to improve on last season's 5-5 overall record and fourth place finish in the Iowa Conference.
Luther's first game will be against its traditional season opener opponent St. Olaf College. This game will be played in Carlson Stadium, on Saturday, Sept. 4, with kick-off scheduled for 1 p.m.
The sports information department will once again be providing free live video streaming of home athletic events throughout the 2010-11 season. These video streams allow Norse fans the ability to watch home athletic events on their home computers. Video streaming dates for football are Sept. 4, Sept. 18, Oct. 9, Oct. 16, and Nov. 6. Anderson-Kahl, listed as a linebacker for the Norse, is the son of Ed Anderson and Julie Kahl of Vermillion.

Luther College is a four-year liberal arts college affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America and is located in Decorah, Iowa. The Norse compete in 10 men's and nine women's intercollegiate sports.
As a member of the Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (IIAC) since 1922, the men have won 151 conference championships. In 1982 the IIAC expanded its championship sponsorship to include women's sports. During this time span, the women have won 60 team titles. Combined, Luther is the first school in the Iowa Conference to capture 211 league titles.
