A motorist was forced to abandon his car on Highway 50 approximately two miles west of Vermillion late Wednesday morning after the area was pounded by hail and rain. Baseball-sized hail fell in and near Vermillion. The hail took out this automobile's rear window, dented its hood and roof, and severely damaged its windshield. (Photos by David Lias)
