Check portal for voter information

Secretary of State Chris Nelson reminds voters to check the Voter Information Portal at to determine the location of their polling place for the general election and to view their sample ballot.

Secretary Nelson said, "Two of the most frequent questions asked in the days immediately before an election are 'Where do I go to vote?' and 'What will be on my ballot?'  The Voter Information Portal answers both of those questions."

A new feature on the Portal allows absentee voters to track when their application is received by the county auditor, when their ballot is mailed, and when the county auditor receives their completed ballot.

Polls will be open statewide on Tuesday, Nov. 2 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
