The University of South Dakota Academic and Career Planning Center is hosting a Career Fair on the USD campus from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 4 at the Muenster University Center.
The fourth annual USD Career Fair will allow students to apply for part-time and full-time job opportunities, and internships with regional businesses and industries that will be in attendance throughout the day in the ballroom of the Muenster University Center.
"This is a chance for students to engage businesses and organizations, and explore career-development possibilities whether it's an internship, or a full-time or a part-time job," said Clarence Pederson, specialist with the Academic and Career Planning Center. "It's a tremendous networking opportunity for students as well as an opportunity for them to create a path to an exciting future."
Pederson expects more than 50 employers will participate in the upcoming USD Career Fair. Businesses already scheduled to take part include AEGIS Food Testing Laboratories, Beef Products Inc., and Frito Lay. The Career Fair is open and free of charge to USD students and alumni.
Located at the Arts and Sciences Building on the USD campus, the Academic and Career Planning Center is available year round for students to assist them with career and academic planning, employment strategies and graduate school applications. The department also assists students with internships, part-time jobs and providing detailed information on all types of campus organizations.
