Virginia Lea Wingett

Virginia Lea Wingett, 81, of Vermillion passed away at Sanford Vermillion Care Center after a long illness.

Virginia was born on Oct. 5, 1928.  She lived in Sioux City, IA with her mother and father – Gorden Rex McDonald and Frances Gladis (Tyneik) McDonald.  She graduated from Central High School.  She loved roller skating and was an instructor.

She married Robert Stanly Barnes, and had two daughters.  She worked at Metz Bakery for many years and Laurence's Grocer Market at night.  She married William Wingett on March 12, 1975, where they lived in several places in the US over several years.  They spent several years in Vermillion. Virginia loved her children more than life itself.  

Virginia is survived by her husband, William Wingett of Vermillion; her daughter, Jody (Don) Irwin of Vermillion; her sons, Doug McDonald of Hot Springs, AR and Robert (Dyane) McDonald of Mission, TX; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
