The University of South Dakota will host the musical talents of celebrated cellist Keith Robinson and the vocal skills of soprano Kelli Estes in a pair of upcoming concerts presented by the USD Department of Music.
Robinson, a cellist with the Miami String Quartet, will perform a concert at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 24 while Estes, co-founder and artistic director for the Lone Star Lyric Theater Festival in Houston, TX, is scheduled to perform with Tracelyn Gesteland, mezzo-soprano and an assistant professor of music at USD, in "Dueling Divas" at 8 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 8. Both performances will be held at Colton Recital Hall, which is located in the Warren M. Lee Center for the Fine Arts.
In addition to performing on stage, both Robinson and Estes will present master classes during their time at USD. Robinson, who has been active as a chamber musician, recitalist and soloist since his graduation from the Curtis Institute of Music, will host a cello master class at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 23 at Colton Recital Hall. Estes, an original cast member of the Opera Company of Brooklyn, Opera in the Heights (Houston), Allentown Concert Opera and Philadelphia's Center City Opera Theater, is hosting her opera master class at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 9 at Colton Recital Hall.
