YC board approves adding scholarships

The Yankton College Board of Trustees recently held its annual fall meeting and is pleased to announce the approval of increasing the amount of scholarships next spring to ten $1,000 awards to deserving graduating seniors and post-graduate students who have a connection or relationship with Yankton College. Among other business was the progress of the online Pastoral Theology Program hosted by Yankton College and Eden Theological Seminary and the actions of the Legacy Committee.

The Alumni Advisory Board also met and accepted the nominations of two new members, Douglas Paterson'68, a professor of theatre at the University of Nebraska at Omaha and Rick Evans '75, a parole officer in Garden City, Kan., and also a member of the Board of Trustees. AAB Chair, Barb Christensen introduced Warden Jordan Hollingsworth and Captain Scott Anderson, of the Federal Prison Camp, who were thanked for their involvement in the preservation of Yankton College and for hosting two campus tours during the reunion.
