The South Dakota men's basketball team has added a game against Canisius College to its 2010-11 schedule, head coach Dave Boots has announced. The Golden Griffins will visit the DakotaDome on Tuesday, Dec. 7 at 7 p.m.
Canisius is led by fifth-year head coach Tom Parrotta and competes in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference that includes Siena and Rider among others. The Golden Griffins went 15-17 last season to advance to the quarterfinals of the MAAC tournament, and opened the 2010-11 campaign with an 80-70 home win over St. Bonaventure on Friday night. Their visit to the DakotaDome wraps up a four-game road swing for them, while the contest breaks up road games at Wisconsin (Dec. 4) and at Loyola Marymount (Dec. 11) for the Coyotes.
