A faculty member in The University of South Dakota's Department of Alcohol and Drug Studies has received a national award of excellence.
Diane Sevening, Ed.D. CCDC-III, assistant professor, recently received one of two Leadership Awards presented by the NAADAC, the association of addiction professionals, at the NAADAC annual conference in Washington D.C. The organization's president presents this award to an individual, institution or corporation in recognition of a long and continued commitment to the association and in appreciation for support of the addiction profession. Sevening has been a member of the USD faculty for 26 years.
"It's wonderful that Diane has received national recognition," said Dona Kennealley, Ed.D., chair of the alcohol and drug studies program. "This award acknowledges what we here at USD have always known. Diane is the consummate professional with a passion for supporting our students, our profession and our educational efforts."
