Parade of Lights:  In case you missed Vermillion's Parade of Lights on Dec. 3, you can see the video at www.vermillionchamber.com.  Just click on the YouTube icon on the home page.  Thank you to all of the awesome parade participants.  Congratulations to the winner, Stream Global Services!  Thank you also to all of the Christmas coloring contest participants.  Congratulations to the winners who had lunch with Santa: 4 & under – Addison Naslund ; 5 & 6 yr olds – Anna Armbrust; 7 & 8 yr olds – Haley Folkena; 9 & 10 yr olds – Maya Schmidt.At the Vermillion Public Library the children made close to 200 "Stockings for Soldiers" that were sent to the soldiers serving overseas.  They also made a stocking to take home!Business After Hours hosted by Sanford Vermillion at 20 S. Plum St. in the main lobby on Sunday, Dec. 12 from 5 to 7 p.m. Christmas music, refreshments and a fabulous buffet of hors d'oeuvres will be served.  Please join us to make new contacts, socialize, and help Sanford Vermillion celebrate their Tree of Lights Open House!David Owen, President of the SD Chamber of Commerce, will speak at the Rotary Club meeting from noon to 1 p.m. at the Neuharth Media Center on Tuesday, Dec. 21. This Week's Happenings:Help Alleviate Hunger – the Vermillion Lions Club is collecting canned goods for the Vermillion Food Pantry.  Each year, the Lions Club collects food and fills Christmas boxes for needy families in our community, and they need your help. Pressing Matters is helping the Lions Club and will accept your canned goods anytime through the end of January 2011.  For each donated can of food brought to Pressing Matters, get an equal number of FREE color copies.Brown Bag Lunch Program:  Holiday Brass, featuring the South Dakota Brass Quintet, USD, performing festive seasonal music on Friday, Dec. 10 at 12:05 p.m. at the National Music Museum located on The University of South Dakota campus, corner of Clark & Yale Streets.
