The Theta Omega Chapter of ESA has compiled the Giving Tree wish list for Clay County children of low income families receiving public assistance. The forms for families were obtained through Head Start, Food Pantry, and Social Services. Any business or organization interested in assisting the Theta Omega Chapter in this worthwhile cause is certainly welcome! The chair person contact is Earleen Varns at 605-638-0966.
This year there are nine ESA Giving Trees throughout Vermillion with the wishes of Vermillion and Clay County children. Trees were set up Thanksgiving weekend and are located at Hy-Vee, Nook 'n Cranny/Never Never Land, Jones' Food Center, the Vermillion Public Library, Wal-Mart, Market Street Café, Sanford Hospital, The Sir Stylist, and Whimps. Each tree is decorated with tags listing several items that a child would like for Christmas and separate cash/donation envelopes. The tags may be taken from a tree, present bought or made, and returned to any one of the above mentioned stores. Please be sure the tag is attached to the gift when you return it so that the family's number and child's number is on the gift. The donation envelopes are available to anyone wishing to make a monetary gift.
