JoAnn 'Penny' SailerJoAnn "Penny" Adell Sailer, 69, of Vermillion, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Dec.1, 2010 in Vermillion.Funeral Mass was on Monday, Dec. 6, 2010 at St. Agnes Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m., with burial following in Calvary Cemetery in Vermillion. Visitation was held on Sunday, Dec. 5, 2010 at Iverson-Siecke-Kober Funeral Home from 4 to 5:30 p.m., with visitation to resume at St. Agnes Catholic Church from 6 to 7 p.m., and a wake service to begin at 7 p.m.Penny was born on Feb. 25, 1941 in Bismarck, ND to Joseph and Lila (Jochim) Wetch.  She attended and graduated from Solon High School in 1958. She met Martin "Red" Sailer in Rapid City, and they married on Nov. 18, 1961 in Rapid City.  Penny and Red raised four children.Penny and Red opened their restaurant, Bimbo's, on June 12, 1966. She and Red worked side by side together for 33 years. Penny enjoyed working at the restaurant, and her motto was "the customer is always right." Penny and Red were together for more than 40 years when Red passed away in 2007. Penny was a member of the St. Agnes Catholic Church in Vermillion, and also a member of the VFW and the Women's Eagles. Family was very important to Penny, and she loved spending time with them. She was a hard worker with a big heart, and she will be missed by everyone who knew her.Penny is survived by her daughters, JaDeen (Brian) Nemec of Vermillion, Melinda (Brian) Kranig of Cedar Rapids, IA, and Jill Sailer of Elizabethtown, PA; her son, Jody Sailer of Vermillion; grandchildren, Kyle and Kelsey Nemec, Kase King, and Calvin and Tyler Kranig; her brother, Loren (Janice) Wetch and Jaydee Wetch of Mandan, ND; and many special brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews.She is preceded in death by husband, Martin "Red" Sailer; parents, Joseph and Lila Wetch; and twin baby brother, Joseph Jr.Iverson-Siecke-Kober Funeral Home, Vermillion, is in charge of arrangements.Condolences may be posted online at www.koberfuneralhome.com.
