Powell re-appointed to APPA Council

Mayor Jack Powell has been re-appointed to the American Public Power Association�s (APPA) Policy Makers Council (PMC). 

The PMC is made up of locally-elected and appointed officials from public power communities across the country. Its mission is to assist APPA in moving legislation forward that is important to the public power electric utilities nationwide.

Members of the PMC are expected to attend two APPA-hosted annual events: the Legislative Rally and the PMC Summer Meeting. During these meetings PMC members meet with their congressional representatives and their staffs regarding issues of importance nationally and locally.
