Role-playing

First-graders Joseph Zuercher, Jareb Hamm and Charlie Ward played the roles of Badger, Fox and Bear respectively as they and their classmates from Austin Elementary presented "Where Is My Mitten?" Monday night in the Vermillion High School Performing Arts Center. The vocal concert, directed by Gretchen Burbach, featured a collection of songs inspired by the Ukrainian folk tale "The Mitten." Later that night, Jolley Elementary's second graders, also under Burbach's direction, presented "Music Stew," a music collection based on the famous tale "Stone Soup."
