Anglers struggling to find accessible waters for ice fishing this winter will have a new resource. The Game, Fish and Parks Department has added a list of ice fishing access sites to their website.
The list contains public access sites on popular ice fishing lakes that are maintained throughout the winter months. As snow conditions warrant, GFP will attempt to clear snow prior to noon each Friday at over 50 lakes.
�Ice fishing is a popular winter activity in South Dakota,� said GFP Secretary Jeff Vonk. �By posting access information to our website, fisherman can be directed to regularly maintained lake access sites.�
