During the board meeting of the Mid-America Economic Development Council (MAEDC) in Chicago, Steve Howe, executive director of the Vermillion Area Chamber and Development Company, was elected to the Board of Directors of MAEDC, beginning Jan. 1.
MAEDC is an organization comprised of economic development professionals in 10 states in the Midwest: Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, South Dakota, North Dakota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana and Ohio.
MAEDC is a tremendous resource to economic developers across its ten-state region, and Im proud to be associated with it and serving on its board, said Howe. Direct access to site location consultants, networking and professional educational forums that share best practices are just a few of the reasons Ive became member and why Im excited to serve on the board of directors.
MAEDC members are dedicated economic development professionals who share best practices to make each member more valuable to their organization. MAEDC is the best resource for making contact with site selectors, advancing regional economic development programs and accessing thought leadership.
