The South Dakota Cooperative Extension Service invites people interested in selling at farmers markets to a free workshop on vendor training set for April 16 in Vermillion.
As part of the Vermillion Area Farmers Market (VAFM) educational programming grant, the April 16 workshop�s topic is �Marketing to the Market� and will include a wide range of information vendors can use to start or increase their sales at farmer markets in their areas. The Vermillion event takes place from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Clay County Extension Building, 515 High St.
This event is free and open to the public and Farmers Market moms will give out free t-shirts to people visiting their booth. The VAFM will hold their indoor market from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. with vendor training starting at 1:30 p.m.
