The Vermillion High baseball team managed to play a doubleheader on the last weekend of winter, but the first weekend of spring was a different story.
Both of the Tanagers' scheduled dates were postponed or cancelled, depending upon whether new mutually agreeable dates can be found. Non-league games at Dakota Valley for the varsity and the JVs last Friday and a varsity league doubleheader with Beresford Sunday were called off.
VHS will try again tonight (Friday) at Dakota Valley, this time in league games with the varsity starting at 5 p.m. and the JVs following about 7 p.m. Vermillion is scheduled at Beresford for a 5:30/7:30 p.m. doubleheader next Wednesday.
