Vermillion claimed the top four individual scores in a girls golf dual against Madison at The Bluffs Friday, so team-wise, it was an easy season-opening victory for the Tanagers.
Allison Heine took medalist honors with an 87. Kelly Amundson followed with an 89 in second. Ellen Brown was third with a round of 92, and Kenzie Huska came home fourth with a 95.
The Tanagers are slated for action at home Monday at 4 p.m. against Lennox, and on Tuesday they go to West Central for a 2 p.m. tee time.
