The Vermillion Grey Sox scored 39 runs in two weekend victories.
Vermillion had an 18-0 lead after three innings before Dakota Valley got on the board Sunday night in a 20-3 Grey Sox win. The Vermillion club pounded out 17 hits.
Kyle Nemec had a no-hitter rolling through the early going until Dakota Valley scored two runs in the fourth and one in the fifth in the five-inning State Line League contest.
Last Wednesday the Grey Sox won a home game over Canton, 19-5, in a contest shortened to seven innings by a 10-run rule. An 11-run fifth inning put the game well into the comfort zone for the Sox, who had 18 hits in the game.
Michael Kendall was winning pitcher in his first Grey Sox appearance.
The Grey Sox are slated for a 2 p.m. home game Sunday at Prentis Park against Garretson. The Sox go to Larchwood next Tuesday night for a 7:30 contest.
