I-29 Exit 1 re-opened to all traffic

South Dakota Department of Transportation officials have re-opened Exit 1 on Interstate 29 to all traffic.

Exit 1 was closed on May 31 to general traffic for two weeks to facilitate levee construction efforts in the area.

Dakota Dunes and the surrounding area has been preparing for record water levels being released from the mainstem dams along the Missouri River. The final increase to 150,000 cfs from Gavins Point Dam took place Tuesday.
