Kent Boline, 57, Mitchell, died Friday, June 17, 2011, at Avera Queen Of Peace Hospital in Mitchell.
Funeral services were Wednesday, June 22, 2011, 11 a.m., at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Mitchell. Burial was Wednesday, 3:30 p.m., at the Dalesburg Lutheran Cemetery, rural Centerville. Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church. Arrangements are under the direction of the Bittner Funeral Chapel in Mitchell. A memorial fund has been established.
Kent Marshall Boline was born April 4, 1954, at Viborg, to Marshall and Ruth (Larson) Boline. He grew up in the Hub City and Parker area and graduated from Parker High School in 1972. He attended South Dakota State University and the University of South Dakota. On June 27, 1981, he married Pamela Nielson in Mitchell. He worked at the Holiday Inn, Enchanted World Doll Museum and was currently employed at the Prehistoric Indian Village Museum. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and the DWU Team Makers. He enjoyed photography, gardening, the outdoors, nature, and was an avid bird watcher. He dearly loved his nieces, nephews and his golden retrievers.
He is survived by his wife, Pam; two brothers, Jody Boline of Idaho Falls, ID and Garret Boline of Mitchell; a sister-in-law, Karen Nielson, Ft. Worth, T;, a brother-in-law, Richard Nielson (Shelley), Ft. Pierre; his father-in-law, Wally Nielson, Austin, TX; six nieces and nephews, Stephen, Maggie, Katie, and Emily Nielson of Ft. Pierre, Caddie and Avery Boline of Idaho Falls, ID and many other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
