� Heritage Ride 2011: Big Friend-Little Friend of Union County Heritage Ride will be held. Registration at Cody�s Homestead, west side of Main St in Elk Point, (Exit 18 off 1-29) beginning at 8 a.m.; bike ride begins at 9 a.m. Routes from 8 to 58 miles, all on blacktop; ride is open to any level of rider 10 years and older. All proceeds support BF-LF, Inc. youth mentoring in Clay & Union counties. Lewis & Clark Heritage Days Festival will also be taking place at the City Park. � AUG. 27 � Second Annual USD?PA Charity Golf Tournament benefitting Ronald McDonald House Charities, 1 p.m. at The Bluffs Golf Course. 18-hole, 4-person, best ball, shotgun start. Cost includes green fees and meal. Award ceremoney during meal!

� AUG. 27-28 � Great Dakota Wine Fest, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at Valiant Vineyards/Buffalo Run Resort, 1500 W. Main St. Free to come; $15 for tasting ticket. Live music by T. Wilson King & others. � SEPT. 9 � National Music Museum (NMM) Brown Bag Lunch Program, �Dakota Baroque & Classic Company,� 12:05 p.m. in the Arne B. Larson Concert Hall at the NMM located on USD campus, corner of Clark & Yale streets. Free and open to the public.

� SEPT. 9-10 � Ribs, Rods &?Rock �n Roll. Come enjoy the 7th annual event in historic downtown Vermillion. For details go to website at www.sdbbq.us. This is a KCBS Sanctioned BBQ Contest and activities include: Award Winning BBQ Competition; Food Vendors, Arts & Craft Vendors; Family Fun Area; Classic Car & Motorcycle Show and Shine; Live Music; Beer Garden; People�s Choice Public BBQ Judging; Two Nights of Street Dances; Charity Poker Run; Motorcycle Fun Run; Kory & The Fireflies, 9 p.m. Saturday.
