� AUG. 13 � Second Annual Clay County 4-H 5K Run/Walk at Clay County Fairgrounds, 515 High St. Pre-registration at 7:30 a.m.; event begins at 8 a.m. No bikes, roller blades or pets. Registration at Cody�s Homestead, west side of Main St in Elk Point, (Exit 18 off 1-29) beginning at 8 a.m.; bike ride begins at 9 a.m. Routes from 8 to 58 miles, all on blacktop; ride is open to any level of rider 10 years and older. All proceeds support BF-LF, Inc. youth mentoring in Clay & Union counties. Lewis & Clark Heritage Days Festival will also be taking place at the City Park.
