� SEPT. 22 � Fall Dinner at Main Street Center, 320 W. Main St., 5:30 p.m. Sponsored by members of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Center. All proceeds benefit the Main Street Center.

� SEPT. 24 � Clay County Preservation Commission meeting, 10 a.m.-noon at Washington Street Arts Center, 202 Washington St. From 7-9 p.m. there will be a fiction reading and book signing by authors Chuck Nauman and Jerry Wilson at the Center. Reception for the authors and artist Agnes �Bobbie� Alsgaard-Lien.

� SEPT. 25 � One Book South Dakota – �The Journey of Crazy Horse: A Lakota History,� 3-5 p.m. in the Community Room of Vermillion Public Library. Copies of the book and study guide are available at the Circulation Desk. Jamie Sullivan of Mount Marty College will facilitate the discussion. Refreshments served.

� SEPT. 25 � The fourth annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure will be held at the DakotaDome. Help find a cure for breast cancer. Register today at www.komensouthdakota.org/race.

� SEPT. 27 � All-You-Can-Eat Spaghetti Dinner, 5:30-8 p.m. at the Eagles, 114 W. Main St. All proceeds go to charity.

� OCT. 9 � A Prairie Center Rural School Reunion (Clay County) will be held from 2-5 p.m. at the Main Street Center, 320 W. Main St., Vermillion. All former teachers, students and their spouses are welcome to attend.
