U. S. Sen. Tim Johnson and U. S. Rep. Kristi Noem took time to visit with District 17 State Rep. Tom Jones and his wife, Linda, in Washington, DC last week. Rep. Jones had two issues that were particularly of interest to all South Dakotans as well as the entire nation. One issue concerns South Dakotas unemployment insurance benefits and the other issue is the exorbitant costs of items that Americans are charged for items they receive, but are paid for by the U.S. government.
During their trip to Washington D C, the Joneses were able to tour the Capitol Building, White House, Arlington Cemetery, Holocaust Museum, Pentagon Memorial, and the Smithsonian Institute.
