Heartland Humane Society invites the community to a Meet and Greet Oct. 15 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the 4H Grounds Alcoa Arena, located at 700 Whiting Drive in Yankton. Animals will be available for adoption and the dogs and the puppies from foster care will be available to meet as well.
"Heartland Humane Society is at full capacity with cats and kittens," said Kerry Schmidt, executive director at Heartland Humane Society. "We have had a lot of interest in the puppies especially, so this is a great time to meet them, too!"
The shelter suggests filling out an application for adoption prior the event. Contact Heartland Humane Society 605-664-4244 or email email@example.com for more information.
