The South Dakota Department of Transportation, in collaboration with City of Vermillion, will hold a public open house as part of the Vermillion Area Master Transportation Plan. This open house public meeting will be held at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 27, in the Council Chambers of Vermillion City Hall.
The Vermillion Area Master Transportation Plan study will address a full range of transportation options and issues, including pedestrian, bicycle, transit, freight, and automobile. The purpose of this public meeting is to gather information on community needs and desires to develop a long-range, multi-modal plan that will provide a blueprint to address the future transportation needs of City of Vermillion.
As part of the study, an Internet survey on transportation needs and travel patterns within City of Vermillion is also being conducted. To participate in the survey, please visit the web page https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/vermillion_transportation_survey.

The meeting will be held from 6:45 to 8:00 p.m. at the location indicated. A brief, summarizing presentation will be made at approximately 7 p.m. followed by an open house discussion with SDDOT, county, and consultant staff. The opportunity to present written comments will be provided. Written comments will be accepted until Nov. 10.
