The fourth and fifth matches in a long six-game homestand stretching through most of October will keep Vermillion's volleyballers on their home court next week.
The Tanagers will host Beresford on Tuesday and Dakota Valley next Friday as the season begins to wind down.
Last week Vermillion began the home stretch with a 3-1 triumph over Madison. The Tanagers won 25-23 and 25-17 to take a commanding 2-0 lead. Madison responded with a 25-19 win, but Vermillion finished it off with a 25-17 win in the fourth set.
Coach Lenni Billberg's club got serious contributions from many sources, including Lizzy Bye with 12 kiills and 16 digs. Katie Herrera posted eight kills, and Kylie Fischbach had 18 set assists, seven kills and six digs.
Emily McClelland answered the bell with 29 digs and two ace serves. Sami Girard contributed 13 set assists and 13 digs while Beth Szymonski had 10 digs, six kills and two ace serves.
