Dance Inferno’s annual holiday recital is Dec. 1-2

The VHS Dance Inferno announces its annual Holiday Dance Recital which will be held on Thursday, Dec. 1, and Friday , Dec. 2 at 7:30 p.m. in the VHS Auditorium. The theme for this year's recital is "A Night at the Movies," and will feature the full dance team in their routines from the fall football season, new routines prepared for the upcoming winter sports season, and a seasonal Christmas routine. In addition to these full ensemble performances choreographed by dance coach and former Dance Inferno member Leah Miller, each grade level of girls on the full squad perform a dance based on music from a movie of their choice. Music featured in these routines comes from "Burlesque," "Step Up 3," "Footloose," and "Grease."

Other performances of the recital will consist of smaller ensembles: a lyrical dance, solos, and guest dancers from a variety of ages. Also featured is the debut performance of the newly formed competitive squad of Dance Inferno members dancing to "Holding Out for a Hero," from the movie "Shrek 2." Back by popular demand is the Dance Inferno's own "Glow Dance," performed with glow sticks in the darkened auditorium.

Cost is $5 for adults and $3 for students. All proceeds from the recital go to fund future performances of and supplies for the high school dance team.
