Parents and staff from the Gayville-Volin School District are planning a benefit to help build an all-purpose track and field.
The benefit is scheduled to take place Saturday, March 24 at the Gayville Community Center. A Free Will Donation Supper will start at 5 p.m. with Girard Auction taking charge of the live/silent/raffle auctions at 7 p.m. On the menu are pork loin sandwiches, baked beans, chips, dessert and coffee or juice.
The public is encouraged to support this opportunity for the students of Gayville-Volin and the community. The track will be a great asset to all who to choose to use it whether it be for school athletics or to help promote and sustain personal health goals.
Anyone who wishes to donate to the auction or needs more information may call Jerry and Amy Gustad 267-2211; Jim and Sharon Petrik 267-4130; or Pam Ganschow 267-2607.
Modern Woodmen of America – Cathy Lynch Becker has donated matching funds up to $500 towards this benefit.
Cash donations can be made at CorTrust Bank in Gayville, 400 Meckling Street, Gayville SD 57073. Please make checks payable to: "Gayville-Volin Track Benefit."
